Retreat Topics

“I love to teach! Women’s Retreats/Conferences/Events are a great way to get a whole lot of “spiritual food” in a short period of time. Good food, good fun and good fellowship are the perfect drawing card for many women to get away and have a little time for refreshing, refueling and reviving”. These topics are designed for a 2 to 3 session weekends. Most sessions are approximately 45 minutes in length. “Learning together in a surrounding of women can be great motivation and inspiration”.

Listed below are just a few examples of Lisa’s teaching topics.
I’m a new creation in Christ? (2 sessions)
It’s true and its scriptural but how come we often don’t feel like a new creation? Why does it more often feel like the “old” in control? As we dig deeper into the verse there are some “pearls of great price” that help us understand the divine transformation process. God has made us some pretty big promises. Can we take him at his word? You bet we can. This retreat message is for anyone who has or is struggling to be the woman God has called and destined her to be.

The Forgotten Vineyard (3 or 4 sessions)
If you don’t take care of yourself, you cannot take care of others. Women are notorious for running on empty, going form can to can’t. This retreat message deals with the necessities of every “fruit bearing” vineyards. They need to be watered, weeded and well-fed. Thought provoking sessions will help each woman make some necessary adjustment and live on purpose for a purpose.

Divine Makeover (3 sessions)
Change Me, Change Them, Real Change. These three teaching sessions will help you examine what scripture says about change.....the what to’s and what not to’s. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would you change? What simple steps of obedience is the Lord requiring of you? How can you live (work) with people you cannot change? What are some immediate things you can do to change? These are just a few of the questions addressed in the life changing retreat message.

Can You Hear Me Now? (3 sessions)
We have this tremendous connection to God called prayer, but statistics say that it’s a connection that has “un-used” minutes. Why is that? The Bible tells us that prayer is tied to our faith. This retreat message explores prayer in such a way that you will come away renewed in faith and encouraged in your prayer life. The mechanics of prayer can be helpful, even the basics of prayer have value, but in and of itself will not motivate and sustain a prayer life. What does???? Come and find out. This message is filled with life examples and plenty of life applications. This is one of Lisa’s favorite retreat messages.
